General DDO Discussions / Re: VIP help with guild creation
« Last post by Rumbaar on July 20, 2010, 01:49:20 PM »
Hi ineedhelp, interesting username :) Welcome.

Yes that was I and yes it's a perfectly viable method.  Currently most of our members are all Premium or FREE players, hence do not have the ability to create a Guild on the fly.  We do have one that I know of, but I'm reluctant to put him into it unless he wants too and replies or contacts you.

But best of luck and if I hear of anyone or can further help I'll be sure to contact you.  Where in the world are you located, as they will help with any scheduled times, etc.

General DDO Discussions / VIP help with guild creation
« Last post by ineedhelp on July 20, 2010, 06:30:57 AM »
Hi all!

I'm a free player in DDO and I read a topic in DDO official forum, commented by Rumbaar (probably a member of your guild since there was a link to this forum in his signature) that there was an alternative in order to create a guild without wasting TP points.

http://forums.ddo.com/archive/index.php/t-260337.html

The trick consists only in asking for a VIP to create a guild and order you as his sucessor, and than he quits the guild, making you the guild owner.

Well, I would like help with that. My player's name in Khyber is Amazona. If is there a VIP willing to help me with that, I would be very grateful. I imagine there would be no problem in temporarilly leaving the guild you are in to do this favor and than come back, so all it would cost is good will.

So you can also mail me if you want to schedule a meeting in game: lixosdanet@bol.com.br

General MxO Discussions / MxO Live

Well it seems a new parallel MxO emu project is out there and very active.  It's 'live' and I've been able to jack in and walk around.  It was surreal to be in the Matrix once again.  As it's a lot of hacks at the moment it's very much an ALPHA state.

But give it a look and see what you think.  Help out and test out if you can

They also have a large part of the SOE forums archived there.

Yes I saw this too.

There is a page that lists all the benefits and differences from FREE->Premium->VIP.  I see they had/have a lifetime sub option as well.

I've thought about checking it out, once it goes FREE.  I'm hoping that LOTRO will actually allow me to play an Elf Ranger who is an actual Ranger type character.

The population might be low, but like DDO once it went F2P the populations increased.  After the success of DDO F2P it was only a mater of time.

For a comparison of what you get from FREE->Premium->VIP

Hmm.. free eh?  I kinda got bored of LOTRO back in the day but considering it wouldn't cost anything and I could still use my old characters I may just be tempted back in at some point to check it out.

Is anyone even active in LOTRO still?

Title explains itself.

I know it did the world of good for D&D (of which a lot of you are fans), so I wonder, what are your opinions on the newly F2P LOTRO?

i'm on Tenesses too, i think.

first thing i do in every MMO is remap the keyboard.  they're nearly all set up for wasd, which i think is silly.  my hands stay on the home row keys, for typing purposed.  so i remap to esdf.  also, this allows your pinky to hit a whole other row of keys, opening up command mapping possibilites.  and i don't have to shift my left hand to type.

What server you trying btw??? I've started a couple chars on Tensess....  so far so good anyway, took me a little to work the controls out, rearranged them to be a bit more like DDO in the end as thats what I tend to of played.

As a note a specific section can be created for the MMO, if you want/need a place for guild members to participate.
