Title: Quest Week - Time to run some Classic Quests
Post by: hakuba on January 13, 2010, 11:44:08 AM
Well after the nice Tempest's Spine run last Friday I thought we could try something slightly different.

So, over the next five days (just to give everyone a chance to join in) I would like to try running 'classic' quests up to elite level.

What is a classic quest? Well one that we all like doing, gives good xp and loot too. With any luck we can finish off the week with another raid run for the spine or Desert Queen! Each night we try to get one quest complete up to elite level. Starting on normal if needed or hard and repeating it to finish elite.

So to kick things off, I nominate Xorian Cipher (http://ddowiki.com/index.php?title=The_Xorian_Cipher&), an extreme challenge lvl 8 quest that gives 9k xp and a chance at getting chaosgarde bracers (http://ddowiki.com/page/Chaosgarde). I will be online for anyone who wishes to join in from 9pm Sydney time Wed 13 Jan. We need a Rogue and Wizard for this quest as well as lots of DPS. Mostly undead mobs with some heavy hitters  :)

Got any suggestions for other quests to complete? List them in a reply below.

Well I've yet to run a proper full run of Tear, and have only run it on Normal.

Also that is UMD 20 : Lawful  but with +4AC bracers does the same?

Correct - the deflection and dodge bonuses on the bracers stack - for a total of +4ac, with the addition of saves against chaotic.

Good for people that can wear armor because this is on top of armor bonus to ac.

And yeah, sells very high.

Do you look at the looking for members tab or just put yourself as looking for groups?  Congrats on the L11

I'm up, time willing, for a Tempest Elite run.
